Dear authors,

As you know, our original deadline for the first draft of your chapters, May 28, 2012 will be arriving soon.  As there has been some confusion over this date, we have decided to extend the deadline to May 31, 2012.

As many of you know, we were successful in obtaining funding to hold a peer-review workshop in Indianapolis, Indiana, at Eden Medina’s university, which will take place during the days of August 24 & 25, 2012.  We anticipate making our decision about who will be invited to the workshop, based on the chapter submissions, around June 15, 2012. Unfortunately, we do not have funding to bring all the potential authors currently on our list.  We will contact you with your invitation or news that your chapter was not selected to continue to the workshop as soon as possible after June 15, 2012.

Below is a reminder of word limits, etc. for the chapters.  We are very much looking forward to reading your submissions!  Please email all three editors with your chapter.

Best regards,

Christina Holmes, Ivan da Costa Marques, & Christina Holmes

We expect your chapter to be approximately 7,500 words including references and notes. We have limited space in the volume and want to include as many papers as possible. Please respect this limit.

When preparing your manuscript, use endnotes, not footnotes, and include a bibliography at the end. All elements of the manuscript should be double-spaced in 12-point type size and we will be using the author-date reference system. We encourage you to consult the MIT Press author style sheet available at: http://mitpress.mit.edu/authors/guidelines/contributors.asp#AuthorDate.   Your chapter does not need to follow the MIT guidelines to undergo peer review.  However, you may find it easier to follow the guidelines from the outset.
